Product Photography Workshops
Are you are a content creator who shoots Product Photography? My Product Photography Workshops may be just what is needed to really elevate your work and create professional looking marketing assets.
I conduct my product photography workshops in different locations. Workshop 1 is at the studio, workshop 2 is at the place of work and workshop 3 can be anywhere! Full details of these workshops can be found here. However please do read on to get a quick overview of who will benefit from this training and why.
The online course provides pre-training for anyone looking to book a workshop. Understanding the basic approaches I teach and my philosophy will put the learner in good stead to complete a workshop with first class honours! I use Shoot products Like A Pro to keep in touch with trainee’s after the workshops and actively promote communication by giving a full 1 years membership as part of the workshop cost. This enables me to continue to help, teach and support the trainee whilst they get to grips with applying what has been learned. Invaluable I think.
Workshop1 builds upon the online course material by spending some time reviewing the basics of the course. I then start pushing the trainee to actively shoot a rather tricky product image. I am not doing this to make me look good. I do this so as to prove to the trainee that by the end of just one day, it is possible to know enough to tackle a hard photographic subject. One day of shooting will not make anyone a studio god, however the confidence of knowing that with just a few techniques they will see how a complex image can be broken down into stages to make the execution easier to handle. This is the gold that workshop 1 offers.
Workshop 2 is entirely different! This is where I take the focus of the content creator and create a bespoke training session around this. We do the work at the business premises, in the shooting space. We try and utilise the existing equipment. The point of this is to use my experience to elevate the knowledge of the photographer to the point where they can solve the one or two real sticky areas that they find the most hard. I have found people only have a small number of things they need to get right in order to make massive progress. Workshop 2 unpicks these blockages and frees the workflow up. If after all of this, things are still not right, we can come up with a plan around what needs to happen next to make that shift.
Workshop 3 is ‘throw caution to the wind’ and go for learning something that feels way beyond what the photographer can imagine they are capable of. This could be shooting product photographs involving water movement, shooting the product as lifestyle images with models or maybe could be shooting the products on location. Whatever it is, I can design a special workshop that dives deep into the unknown to open up amazing new opportunities!
